"How Does God See You?"

Do you look on things after the outward appearance?

But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him:

for the LORD sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7

"How does God see me???"

God views us as his children when we are born again belivers in him.

The Holy Bible teaches that when we accept Jesus Christ in our life, God no longer sees us and our sin. He sees Jesus in us. The shed blood of Jesus cleanses us of all sin.

"but if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin."
1 John 1:7

So, does God see your sin or does your Heavenly Father see Jesus in you? Accept Christ into your life. Or go to our Spiritual Seekers Page to learn more about Jesus and Christianity.

Col. 1:27
to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Col. 3:3-4
For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. (4) When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

1 Cor. 6:9-11
Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, (10) nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God. (11) And such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God.

1 Peter 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Hebrews 13:20-21
Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord, (21) equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Ephes. 2:13
But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

Hebrews 10:19-22
Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, (20) by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, (21) and since we have a great priest over the house of God, (22) let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

The Heart

Do you think that you're a good person...?

Do you think that God sees you as a good person?

If so, then answer these questions honestly and carefully:

1. Have you ever told a lie? Even if it was a little "white lie".

2. Have you ever stolen anything? Regardless of the value of the item.

3. Have you ever used God's name as a curse word or to express disgust?

4. Have you ever seen something that someone else had and thought, "I wish I had something like that. I wish I could afford the stuff they get."

If you have done any of these things, then by your admissions, according to God's standards, you are not a good person. And these are only 4 of the Ten Commandments, found in Exodus 20 in the old testament of the Bible!

So, if on Judgement Day, God judges you based on the 10 commandments, do you think you're going to be found innocent or guilty? What a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a Living God!

Well, you say, "I've done more good things than bad in my life". That doesn't matter. If you were in a trial of court for commiting a crime, would the Judge let you off just because you had done many good things before the trial? No. He would still punish you for commiting the crime. That's what the law would require.

By the same token, God will still punish you for breaking his law.

However, what if during that trial, what if someone you didn't even know came into the court room and took the punishment for you so that you could be set free from the penalty of the crime?

That's what Jesus Christ did for you when he was crucified 2000 or so years ago for your sins and for your transgression of God's law. He took the punishment for you so that you wouldn't have to be punished for your sins. All you have to do is accept God's forgiveness by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior!

So, before you go to bed tonight, why not get right with God today? You might not have another chance. You don't know when your time on Earth is going to be up. And if you die in your sins without accepting God's mercy, you'll have to face the Judgement of God, and with your sins still in the books, there will be no hope on that great and terrible day. But you don't have to die in your sins, and God doesn't want you to, either. He is not willing that any perish, but rather, he wants all to come to repentance. So, why not get right with God now while you still have a chance?

If you want to make a decision to accept Jesus Christ as the atonement for your sins, then sincerely pray this prayer:

"God, I admit that I am a sinner and that I have broken your law. I realize that I am lost without God and that I'm headed towards a terrible judgement. However, God, today I confess my sins to you and I want to be right with you. I know that I alone cannot pay the debt that I owe for my sins. I believe with all my heart that your son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross to pay my sin debt for me, and I ask today that Jesus Christ be the Lord and Savior of my life, and I turn from my sins. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen."

If you just prayed this prayer, and sincerely meant it, then you are now adopted into the Family of God, on your way to the splendor of heaven. To start out your Christian life, I would suggest that you pray to God, read your bible every day, and get into a good Bible-teaching Church that teaches others to be born again too.

How does God see you...?

Does He like what He sees? Can I tell you He loves you 100% and loves everything about you? He loves all your annoying habits, He loves those extra pounds you have gained, and He loves you when you falter. Basically, He loves you. As a new creature in Christ when God looks at you He sees you as being redeemed. He sees the work Christ has completed on our behalf. He loves you even if you never change from this very day.

This morning I was trying to start my quiet time. I had my notebooks and Bible out all ready to get started. I sensed God saying, "Put those down. Calm your mind down. You know what Vicky, I love you. Just think about it for a minute." I quickly was in tears. He truly loves me. I know we all "know"
God loves us, but do you really know it. Do you live like He loves you?

God thinks I'm beautiful! Whether the world thinks that or not! God likes my silly jokes, whether my kids like them or not. God thinks I'm cool even if the world says different. God sent his Son to die for me, how much more special can that be.

Today, I ask you to truly dwell on the fact that God loves you. Soak in it, breathe it, and then live it. When God loves me I can conquer anything in his strength alone. I do best when I give it all to God and throw my hands up and say, "God it is yours I can't do it anymore." It is a shame I don't do that first, but I'm learning and you know what God loves me in spite of myself.

It is not a requirement...
to be without sin to come to God.

It is not even necessary to clean yourself up to return to Him. Just as the prodigal son returned, smelling of pigs, broken and empty, so are we. Come in your filth, the smell of your transgressions still lingering. He will open His arms and comfort you. He will clothe you in His finest garments and prepare a feast of His best just for you. Because you are NOT seen by God as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer-at-heart. You are seen as His child, and His love for you overwhelms any sin you could ever have committed. All you have to do, is come
