Absolute Divine...The King That Rules Forever

The Lord is good and right

1 Timothy 1:17
17 Honor and glory to the King that rules forever! He cannot be destroyed and cannot be seen. Honor and glory forever and ever to the only God. Amen.

The King Eternal...Jesus

1 Timothy 1:17. Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Paul the writer breaks out into an exclamation.

Because of the very excitment of his mind

Because he cannot say enough about the grace of God.

The remembrance of the God's great mercy to him causes him to break forth in praise.

How unspeakably sweet is the thought of eternity to believers!

Jesus is the King, eternal-literally

King of the eternal

"The Lord shall reign for ages and beyond them."

"Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,"

"a kingdom of all ages."

The "life everlasting" for all who have Jesus as their Lord and Saviour

"for ever and ever"

"to the ages of the ages"

"incorruptible."

When a believer in Jesus who has chosen to follow Him is given eternal life. No one can take that gift away from them.

A Gift from God will not go bad like "valuables" on earth.

Heavens treasures will be for us believers.

And they will never spoil or go bad.

A believer can be filled with faith

A believer has Christ in his heart.

This is a faithful saying...

These are true and faithful words,

which may be depended on,

That the Son of God came into the world, willingly and purposely to save sinners.

A person can come to Him this way...
If a person really desires to trust in Jesus as the Son of God, who once died on the cross, and now reigns upon the throne of glory, to save all that come to God through him.

Let us then admire and praise the grace of God our Saviour

This is a faithful saying, etc.

Here we have the sum of the whole gospel, that Jesus Christ came into the world.

The Son of God took upon him our nature, was made flesh, and dwelt among us, Jn. 1:14.

He came into the world, not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance, Mt. 9:13.

His errand into the world was to seek and find, and so save, those that were lost, Lu. 19:10.

The ratification of this is that it is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation.

It is good news, worthy of all acceptation; and yet not too good to be true, for it is a faithful saying.

It is a faithful saying, and therefore worthy to be embraced in the arms of faith: it is worthy of all acceptation, and therefore to be received with holy love

Christ Jesus has come into the world; the prophecies concerning his coming are now fulfilled.

He came to save sinners.

He came to save those who could not save and help themselves.

The good news of Jesus coming...

...deserves to be received,

...to be believed by us all

It is for our comfort and encouragement :)

So Who is God ?

What is He Like ?

God is...

Is a spirit.

IS DECLARED TO BE

17 Every good action and every perfect gift is from God. These good gifts come down from the Creator of the sun, moon, and stars. God does not change like their shifting shadows.

Love.

8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

16 And so we know the love that God has for us, and we trust that love. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God lives in him.

Invisible.

"Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God All-Powerful.
He was, he is, and he is coming."

9 These living things give glory and honor and thanks to the One who sits on the throne. He is the One who lives forever and ever. And every time the living things do this, 10 the 24 elders bow down before the One who sits on the throne. The elders worship him who lives forever and ever. They put their crowns down before the throne and say:
