Why God Created Man
Genesis 1,2
In Genesis 1,2, we read how God created the heavens, earth,
oceans and all they contain.
God
the Lord made everything in six days using nothing but His
Word.
We
also saw why God created the world.
He
made it for the people whom He planned to create
God
found Joy in giving man life
God
knew how good man's life would be when he walked with God.
When God and man were friends.
How
kind of God to create a beautiful and wonderful place where
man and woman could live in true prosperity!

How exactly
did God do it
Lets
look at the Scriptures and to learn exactly how God created
the first man.
With God's help, we will also seek to understand why He created
man.
In
the Torah, in the book of Genesis, in the first chapter, in
verse twenty-six, the Word of God says,
"The Lord {"YHWH" in Hebrew; The Everlasting One in Wolof}
said, 'Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and
let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the
air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all
the creatures that move along the ground.'
So
God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created
him; male and female he created them." (Gen. 1:26,27)
This is a beautiful truth...
The
truth that everyone needs to understand
God
created the first man and woman in His own image!
Think
of it! God made man to be like Him! Truly, man is the most
important creature among all the creatures that God made.
What
an honor it is to be made in the image of God!

What
does the Word of God mean??
So
then, what does the Word of God mean
when it says: "God created man in His own image"?
In
Genesis chapter two, verse seven, the Scripture says: "The
Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed
into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a
living being (soul)." (Gen. 2:7)
We
notice in this verse that when God created the first man,
He created him with two elements: a body and a soul. Man is
not merely a physical being. He has a body and a soul. God
created man in two steps.

Lets
Listen once more to
what the Scriptures say...
One:
"The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground"
Two:
God "breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the
man became a living [soul]."
From this Scripture we learn that when God created man, He
first formed a body.
Why
did God make the body first?
He
made the body first because it would be the dwelling place
into which He would place man's soul.
Do
you know that your body is your house; the temporary "tent"
in which "the real you" (your soul) lives?
God's
own word
says, "The body we have on earth is like a tent." (2 Cor.
5:1) God created the human body for the soul to dwell in.

Remember
how God's word says God is Spirit
Yes,
the human body itself is an unbelievably incredible wonder!
Because God is spirit.
God created the soul of man in His image.
We already observed that when God first created the body of
man from the dust of the earth, it was without life.

God breathed
life
The Scripture says, "The Lord God breathed into his nostrils
the breath of life, and the man became a living being."
The
body that God had created began to live.
The
body was alive!
God,
the Lord of Life, gave it a soul!
God
breathed His life into the body.
The
life that was in God, was now in man

Can God
breathe more life in You
Can
he breathe that life in me...Today
Jesus
wants to breathe eternal life into you today
When we look into the
Bible we read, “Jesus said, Except a man be born again,
he cannot see the kingdom of God.... Ye must be born again”
(John 3:3, 7).
“Born again?”
That may sound strange to us. What does it mean? To explain,
let’s look at what the Bible says.
God’s Word is
very realistic. It teaches that no one can gain entrance into
Heaven by good works or even religious practices.
The Bible reveals our
true condition: “There are none righteous, no, not one....
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”
(Romans 3:10, 23). Our own personal experiences also shows
us that we all have broken God’s laws at least once.
The biblical diagnosis
for our condition is clear. We, by nature, are described as
being “dead in trespasses and sins;” “alienated
from the life of God;” as “having not life”
(Ephesians 2:1; 4:18). Just as a body without physical life
is declared physically dead, so any person separated from
the life of God is described in the Bible as spiritually dead.
Separated from God,
dead in our trespasses and sins, we cannot hope to enter Heaven.
We need new lives, cleansed from sin and its penalty. We need
to be restored to a right relationship with God. We must be
born into a new life—we must be born again.
Jesus Christ came to
bring us this new life. He said, “I am come that they
might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”
(John 10:10). Receiving the life that Jesus can give is what
being born again is all about.
When we think about
God’s love for us, it is really more than we can comprehend.
God sent His Son Jesus Christ from the glories of Heaven to
enter the human race and pay the penalty for our sins. This
is the extent of God’s love for us! “God commendeth
His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ
died for us” (Romans 5:8).
On the cross of Calvary
Jesus willingly bore all our sins and suffered the full force
of God’s righteous judgment. By His death Jesus provided
for our salvation. By His resurrection from the dead, Jesus
broke the power of death.
Today the risen Lord
Jesus offers new life to all who will receive Him as Savior.
He promises, “He that heareth My word and believeth
on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not
come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life”
(John 5:24).
If you will respond
to the Son of God by receiving Him as your Savior, you can
have everlasting life right now. On the basis of God’s
Word you can have assurance that Jesus Christ has totally
suffered the penalty of sin for you. And you can be born again
into the family of God, knowing that one day you will live
forever with your Lord in Heaven.
“And this is the
record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life
is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that
hath not the Son of God hath not life” (1 John 5:11-12).
If you
want to receive this eternal gift of life from God, you may
want to express it in words like these: “Dear Lord,
I confess that I do not measure up to your perfect standard.
Thank you for sending Jesus to die for my sins. I now place
my trust in him as my Savior. Thank you for your forgiveness
and the gift of eternal

Science
proves God too...
...God
has amazing truths
With
what did God create the first human body?
The
Scriptures say that the Lord formed it from the dust of the
ground.
In
the modern age in which we live, we know that the dust of
the earth is composed of about twenty chemicals. Scientists
tell us that all twenty of those chemical substances are found
in the human body.
Wow...
20
chemicals in dust
the
same 20 chemicals found in us
God
is HOTT stuff...
That
is why God's Prophet David wrote in the Psalms, "The Lord
knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust!" (Psa.
103:14)
Yes,
the body is made of dust,
but this does not mean that it is worthless!
In
the human body, there are more than seventy thousand-thousand-thousand-thousand
(70 trillion) parts we call cells.
And all those parts are woven together and designed to function
in perfect harmony.
They
all work together perfectly..
...for
you and me
Imagine
70 trillion things working together
and
in everybody
The
human body really is is a miracle!
In
our bodies, God has placed...
the
brain, heart, lungs, stomach, liver, intestines, bones, muscles,
skin, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and many, many other amazing
parts. Every part "knows" its role. Only God could have created
it!
That
is why the prophet David also wrote...
"Lord,
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well!" (Psa. 139:14)
